Relist a Vinted item to bump it back to the top of the results

Updated · 5 min read

A fresh Vinted listing gets lots of views. A few days later, it has slipped far down the results and the views dry up. Relisting puts it back at the top.

Why a listing stops selling

In searches and the feed, recent listings get more visibility. Every day, thousands of new listings jump ahead of yours. If your item hasn’t found a buyer in the first week, it gets harder and harder to find, even at a good price.

Three ways to revive a listing

  • Drop the price: members who favourited the item can be notified. Works well if it already has favourites.
  • Vinted’s paid bump: the listing is shown more often for a few days, for a few euros.
  • Relist: delete the listing and post it again. It starts over as a new listing, for free.

Relisting by hand, step by step

  1. Save the listing’s photos and copy the title, description, category, size and price.
  2. Delete the current listing (views and favourites are lost).
  3. Create a new listing with the same details and photos.
  4. Take the chance to improve the title or the first photo, and adjust the price.

Allow two to three minutes per listing. For twenty items, there goes your evening.

Why change the photos slightly

Re-uploading exactly the same images gives you a listing that looks identical to the old one. Many sellers prefer to start again with slightly different photos: a mirrored image, a small crop, a slight tilt, or a new cover photo. For the buyer, it’s also a chance to see the item from another angle.

Best practices

  • Don’t overdo it in one go: space your relists a few minutes apart rather than relisting everything in a burst.
  • Give the listing time: at least a week before relisting it.
  • Keep an eye on favourites: an item with lots of favourites often sells better with a targeted offer than with a relist.
  • Pick your moment: post when your buyers are online, usually in the evening and at weekends.

Relist in one click with OnceAndSold

OnceAndSold relists your Vinted items for you, one at a time or in batches:

  • Refreshed photos on every relist: mirrored, tilted, cropped or a new background (the item is cut out and placed on parquet, a sheet, polished concrete…). Your originals are never changed.
  • Price drop as a percentage or in euros when relisting.
  • Delay between relists and a daily limit, to protect your account.
  • Automatic restocking of an item you have several of, after each sale.

Frequently asked questions

Does relisting a Vinted item lose its favourites?

Yes. Relisting deletes the listing and creates a new one: the old listing’s views and favourites are lost. If the item has lots of favourites, a price drop or an offer may work better.

How often should I relist on Vinted?

There’s no official rule. In practice, leave a listing up for at least a week before relisting it, and space your relists a few minutes apart rather than relisting everything at once.

Can I relist several Vinted items at once?

Not directly on Vinted. A tool like OnceAndSold lets you select several items and relist them one after another, with a delay between each listing and refreshed photos.
