How to edit a Vinted listing: price, photos and description
Updated · 5 min read
A typo in the title, a price that’s too high, a blurry photo: on Vinted, a live listing can be edited at any time. Here’s where to tap, and what an edit really changes.
Edit a listing in the app
Tap your profile, then View my listings, and open the listing.
Tap the three dots at the top right, then Edit.
Change what you need: photos, title, description, category, brand, size, condition, price, parcel size.
Save at the bottom of the form. The changes show straight away.
Edit a listing on a computer
On Vinted on PC, go to your profile, open the listing, then choose Edit listing. You get the same fields as when you listed it. It’s often more comfortable for rewriting a long description or reordering photos.
When you can’t edit
The item has sold: the menu only offers Delete, once the transaction is fully completed.
The listing is under Vinted’s automated check: usually a second or two, sometimes up to a few days. Some options aren’t available until it’s finished.
The listing is bumped: you can lower the price while the Bump is active, but not raise it.
Does editing a listing bump it up?
Not reliably. Vinted ranks listings on many criteria, including when they were posted; fixing a word or a photo doesn’t put it back at the top of the results. To give it the visibility of a fresh listing, the method that works is to relist it.
A price drop is still useful: a better-priced item does better in filters, and members who favourited it have a reason to come back.
What’s worth editing
The first photo: sharp, bright, on a plain background. It’s what gets the click. See better Vinted photos.
The title: brand, type of item, size, colour. The words buyers type.
Measurements in the description: they head off half the questions.
The price, in small regular drops rather than one big cut.
Rather than deleting a listing that won’t sell, hide it: it keeps its views and favourites, and you can unhide it whenever you like.
Edit all your listings at once with OnceAndSold
Is the item also on eBay or another site? With OnceAndSold, you edit the title, description or price once, and the change goes out to every site where the item is live:
Bulk editing: lower prices by 10%, replace a word in every description, add “Shipped within 48 h” at the end, hide or unhide on Vinted.
Automatic price drop: a listing with no new favourite for 14 days drops by a few per cent, never below your floor price.
Automatic relisting of Vinted listings that have stopped selling.
In the app, go to your profile, then View my listings, open the listing and tap the three dots, then Edit. On the website, open the listing from your profile and choose Edit listing. You can change the photos, title, description, category, size, condition and price.
Why can’t I edit my Vinted listing?
The item may have sold, in which case only Delete is offered, or the listing may still be under Vinted’s automated check. If the listing is bumped, you can lower the price but not raise it.
Does editing a Vinted listing bump it?
Not reliably. To put a listing back at the top of the results, you need to relist it. A price drop mainly helps win over members who favourited it.
Can I change the price of a bumped Vinted listing?
Yes, but only downwards while the Bump is active. Lowering the price doesn’t change what you paid for the Bump.
