Sell on Vinted and Leboncoin at the same time, without double sales

Updated · 6 min read

Putting the same item up for sale on several sites is the easiest way to sell faster. It’s called crosslisting. The only real trap: selling the same item twice.

Why list on several sites

Each site has its own audience. The same item can sit for weeks on one and sell in two days on another:

  • Vinted: clothes, shoes, accessories, home decor and toys. Lots of buyers, and very easy pickup-point shipping.
  • Leboncoin (France’s biggest classifieds site): bulky items, furniture, appliances, tech, and local hand-delivery near you.
  • eBay: collectibles, spare parts, tech, and buyers all over Europe.

Listing everywhere multiplies the number of people who see your listing, without changing anything about your stock.

The real risk: double sales

Your item sells on Vinted while a Leboncoin buyer is arranging to meet you. If the Leboncoin listing is still online, you have to cancel, apologise, and you risk a bad review. If it keeps happening, it hurts buyers’ trust and can lead to restrictions on your account.

So crosslisting comes down to one rule: as soon as an item sells somewhere, its other listings must disappear.

The manual method

  1. Give each item a reference (A12, B03…) and note it in a spreadsheet with its storage location, purchase price and the link to each listing.
  2. Turn on sale notifications for each app on your phone.
  3. Remove the other listings right away after a sale, even before packing the parcel.
  4. Check your spreadsheet every evening: a sold item must be offline everywhere.

This works for a few dozen items. Beyond that, the time spent keeping the spreadsheet up to date, copying listings and watching three inboxes becomes the real bottleneck.

Tailor the listing to each site

Copy-pasting the same listing works, but a few tweaks make a difference:

  • Title: on Vinted, brand + type + size is enough. On eBay, the title is limited to 80 characters and it’s what makes the listing show up: pack in all the keywords (brand, model, reference, colour).
  • Price: fees differ from one site to the next. Check what you’ll actually take home net on each before setting your price.
  • Shipping: on Leboncoin, also offer hand-delivery for heavy items.
  • Photos: the same everywhere, with a sharp first photo on a plain background.

Automate it with OnceAndSold

OnceAndSold brings your Vinted, Leboncoin and eBay listings together in one inventory and takes care of the tedious part:

  • Automatic import of your listings, sales and messages: an item listed on three sites has just one record.
  • Automatic removal: as soon as a sale is imported, the same item’s listings on the other sites are removed. For an item you have several of, only the quantities go down.
  • One inbox for all three sites.
  • Your net after fees for each platform shown next to the price.

Everything happens in your own Chrome browser, with your sessions: you never hand over your passwords. The details: automatic removal after a sale (in French).

Frequently asked questions

Can I post the same listing on Vinted and Leboncoin?

Yes, offering an item you own on several sites is common practice. You just need to remove the other listings as soon as it sells, so you never sell it twice.

What if an item sells on two sites at the same time?

Let the second buyer know as soon as possible, explain that the item has just been sold and politely cancel the sale. The sooner you react, the less likely you are to get a bad review.

How do I automatically remove a sold listing from the other sites?

With a crosslisting tool like OnceAndSold: it tracks your Vinted, Leboncoin and eBay sales and removes the same item’s other listings as soon as a sale is imported.
