Crosslisting on Vinted and eBay UK: sell in both places without double sales

Updated · 6 min read

Vinted and eBay reach different buyers: Vinted is where people browse clothes on their phone, eBay is where they search for a specific brand, model or size. Listing on both sells faster, as long as you never sell the same item twice.

Why list on both Vinted and eBay

  • Different buyers: Vinted buyers browse and like; eBay buyers search with precise keywords and are used to paying for branded or collectable items.
  • Different categories: clothes and kids’ items move fast on Vinted, while electronics, trainers, vintage and collectables often fetch more on eBay.
  • No selling fees for private sellers on Vinted UK, and on eBay UK since late 2024 (vehicles aside): buyers pay a protection fee instead, so listing in both places costs you nothing extra.

Copy your Vinted listings to eBay in one click

Retyping a listing means a new title, new item specifics and uploading the photos again. With OnceAndSold, your Vinted UK listings are imported into one inventory. Select items, tick eBay, and the Chrome extension fills the eBay listing form for you: title, description, condition, photos and item specifics. If eBay asks for a colour the listing does not give, the AI reads it from the first photo.

  1. Create your OnceAndSold account and add the Chrome extension.
  2. Log in to vinted.co.uk and ebay.co.uk in Chrome as usual: the app recognises the UK sites and never sees your passwords.
  3. Import your listings, select the items and publish them on eBay. They go out one by one, at a sensible pace.

The app is in English, shows amounts in pounds sterling, and the AI writes new listings in British English.

Never sell the same item twice

An item live on both sites can sell on both the same evening. OnceAndSold watches your sales on Vinted and eBay: as soon as an item sells on one, its other listing is taken down automatically. For an item with several copies, only the quantity goes down. How delisting after a sale works.

Selling a lot? HMRC reporting

Since January 2024, Vinted and eBay send HMRC the details of sellers who make 30 or more sales or over about £1,700 in a year. Selling your own unwanted things is usually not taxable, but buying to resell is trading: profits above the £1,000 trading allowance must be declared. Check the rules on gov.uk for your situation. OnceAndSold tracks every sale with its purchase price, so your margin and yearly totals are ready.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell the same item on Vinted and eBay at the same time?

Yes, both sites allow it. The risk is selling it twice: OnceAndSold takes down the other listing as soon as the item sells on one site.

Is there a tool to copy Vinted listings to eBay UK?

Yes. OnceAndSold imports your Vinted UK listings, then its Chrome extension fills the eBay UK listing form for each selected item, photos and item specifics included.

Does it work with vinted.co.uk and ebay.co.uk?

Yes. The UK sites are recognised when you log in, the app is in English, amounts can be shown in pounds, and the AI writes listings in British English.
