Vinted on PC: using Vinted on a Windows or Mac computer

Updated · 6 min read

Looking for “the Vinted app for PC”? There isn’t one: on a computer, Vinted runs in your browser. And for a seller, that’s often more comfortable than a phone, as long as you get organised.

Is there a Vinted app for PC?

No. Vinted has an app for iPhone and Android, but no software to install on Windows or macOS. On a computer, you use the website (vinted.co.uk in the UK), which covers the essentials: listing, editing your listings, replying to messages and following your sales.

  • Vinted’s help centre says the site works best in Chrome and Safari.
  • You log in with the same account as on your phone: listings, messages and sales are the same on both.
Be wary of downloadable “Vinted for PC” programs: they’re Android emulators or unofficial wrappers. They add nothing to the website, and you type your login details into them. Stick to the official site.

Vinted on a computer, step by step

  1. Open vinted.co.uk in your browser and log in.
  2. To sell, click Sell now: you get the same fields as in the app (photos, title, description, category, brand, size, condition, price).
  3. Add your photos from a folder on your computer.
  4. Find your listings, messages and balance from your profile menu.

Tip: pin the Vinted tab (right-click on the tab → Pin) so it’s always to hand.

Why sell on a computer rather than a phone

Once you sell more than a few items a week, the computer saves time: you write faster, compare your listings, and keep a stock file open next to them.

The limits of the Vinted website

  • No batch work: each listing is created and edited one by one, even to change the price of twenty items.
  • Photos have to travel: taken on the phone, they need moving to the computer before you can post them.
  • One site only: if you also sell on eBay, everything has to be retyped, and an item sold here stays live there until you take it down.
  • No notifications when the tab is closed: keep the app on your phone for messages and sales.

Go further on your computer with OnceAndSold

OnceAndSold is a web app that runs in Google Chrome on a computer (Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS), linked to your selling sites by a Chrome extension. You log in to Vinted yourself: the app reuses your session and never sees your password.

  • One inventory: your Vinted listings, sales and messages are imported, along with those from eBay, Vestiaire Collective and the French and Belgian sites. Search, filters, storage locations, purchase prices. See the inventory.
  • Photos from the keyboard: drag and drop your photos onto the item, or paste an image with Ctrl + V (⌘ + V on a Mac).
  • List everywhere: one item, one button, and it goes out on every site you tick, without retyping anything. See list everywhere.
  • The batch work the website lacks (list several items at once): bulk import of dozens of items from their photos, scheduled listing in small batches, and editing several listings at once.
  • Automatic delisting: as soon as an item sells on one site, its other listings are taken down. See crosslisting on Vinted and eBay UK.
The automations run in Chrome while the OnceAndSold tab is open: pin it so you don’t close it by mistake.

Phone for photos, computer for the rest

Phone capture mode solves the travelling-photos problem:

  1. On the computer, the On my phone tab (or + New item → With my phone): a QR code appears.
  2. Scan it with your phone: it opens the photo app, connected to your account, with no password to type.
  3. Photograph the item where it’s stored: the draft is created from the first photo, and the AI can fill in the details.
  4. Finish on the computer: price, the sites’ categories, then publish.

The details: photograph your items with your phone.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Vinted app for PC?

No. Vinted has apps for iPhone and Android, but no software for Windows or Mac. On a computer, you use the vinted.co.uk website in a browser, with the same account as on your phone.

Can I list on Vinted from a computer?

Yes. On the website, the Sell now button opens the listing form: photos, title, description, category, size, condition and price.

Do I need an emulator to use Vinted on PC?

No, and it’s best avoided: an emulator adds nothing to the official website, and you type your login details into it. The vinted.co.uk website is enough; Vinted says it works best in Chrome and Safari.

Does OnceAndSold work on a Mac?

Yes. OnceAndSold runs in Google Chrome on a computer, whether Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS. Your phone is for photographing items with phone capture mode.
