Automatic offers to likers

A member adds your item to their favourites? They get a message with a small discount, as if you’d written to them yourself.

Turn it on

Settings → Sales → Automatic message to favourites: turn the option on, then set (Customise):

  • the sites:
    • Vinted: members who add an item to their favourites;
    • Leboncoin: “… is interested in your listing”, with a real offer at the price suggested;
    • eBay: “Send offers” to people watching the listing (eBay doesn’t say who, so the message has no {pseudo}, 230 characters at most);
    • Beebs: follow-ups of buyers only (Beebs doesn’t say who adds favourites);
  • the discount in %;
  • the maximum number of messages over 24 hours, the batch size and the break between two batches;
  • the sending hours (Paris time);
  • the message: several variants separated by a --- line, one is picked at random. Variables: {pseudo} (username) {article} (item) {prix} (price) {prix_offre} (offer price) {remise} (discount);
  • an optional follow-up after 2 to 7 days without a reply;
  • on Vinted, Leboncoin, Beebs and eBay, a follow-up of buyers who went quiet: the member wrote to you, you replied last, the item is still live and nothing was sold in the conversation. On Vinted and Leboncoin a real offer follows the message; on Beebs and eBay the price is only mentioned.

On Leboncoin, eBay and Beebs, messages go out when the inbox refreshes (at the site’s inbox interval, while the app is open). The offer never goes below the floor price.

Why batches?

To avoid looking like a robot, the app mimics someone who opens the app now and then and answers their notifications all at once:

  • first message 20 to 90 minutes after the favourite at the earliest;
  • 2 or 3 messages per batch, 30 to 90 seconds apart, then a long break;
  • a member is only contacted once per item, and never if you already have a conversation;
  • at the slightest refusal from the site, everything stops for 24 hours on that site;
  • batches, limit and break count separately for each site.
