Pricing strategies and automatic price rise
The automatic price drop brings down the prices of listings that aren’t selling. These options set the pace item by item, and also raise a price when the item is popular.
Price rise if favourited
Settings → Sales → Price rise if favourited (off by default): an item that gains lots of favourites in a short time has its price raised, on every site where it’s live.
- By default: +5% after 50 new favourites in less than 3 days, 2 rises at most per item. Everything can be set in Customise (rise from 1 to 30%).
- At least 1 day must have passed since the listing went live or since the last automatic price change. Favourites gained slowly don’t count.
- The price is rounded up to the nearest half euro (to the euro on Vestiaire Collective); the item’s target price follows. After a rise, the drop waits for a full step without a favourite.
- Rises share the drop’s daily limit and happen while the app is open in Chrome with the extension.
Pricing strategy per item
Turn on Settings → Sales → Pricing strategy per item: each item gets a Pricing strategy choice in its Price section.
- Normal: your settings as they are.
- High-value piece: a drop half as big, steps twice as long.
- Clearance: a doubled drop (30% at most), steps half as long (3 days at least), never a rise.
- The app decides (available even without turning the option on): based on similar sales, yours and those of other sellers on the app. Above the range, the drop is bigger and faster, with no rise; below the median price, gentler and slower. Never below the bottom of the range. Without enough comparable sales, it’s Normal.
- Rule’s recipe: set by a Where my items go rule, with its drop, step and floor.
The price day by day
As soon as an item’s price has changed, its details show the Price day by day curve, one line per site: solid dots for automatic drops and rises, hollow dots for changes made by hand or picked up during sync, dotted line for the floor.
