Sales and purchases read from your emails
Every site sends you an email when you sell. OnceAndSold reads it, records the sale and removes the item from the other sites, even when Chrome is closed.
Link your mailbox
- Settings → Emails: enter your Gmail address.
- Gmail won’t accept your usual password here: turn on 2-Step Verification on your Google account, open myaccount.google.com/apppasswords, give it a name (for example “OnceAndSold”) and paste the 16-letter app password.
- Click Test the connection, then turn on automatic checking.
A mailbox other than Gmail (Outlook, Yahoo, Orange…): open Inbox other than Gmail and enter its IMAP server. Only encrypted connections are accepted.
The app password gives access to your emails. Delete it at any time from the same Google page: the app will no longer be able to read anything.
Sales
Every 5 minutes by default (up to once an hour), the app checks emails from Vinted, Leboncoin, eBay, Beebs and Vestiaire Collective. The first check goes back two weeks.
- The sold listing is found (link in the email, otherwise identical title): the item becomes a To ship order and its other listings are removed.
- An item you have several of, or a listing that can’t be found: the sale waits for you in Settings → Emails, to confirm in one click.
- The same email is never processed twice.
- As long as checking works, the app checks for sales on the sites themselves much less often (every 3 hours at most): fewer tabs opened, less risk of an anti-bot check.
Purchases
With Suggest my purchases, an item you buy on one of these sites is suggested in the settings: Add to stock creates a draft with the purchase price and date.
