Suggested price
On every item, the app tells you what similar items sell for.
Read the suggested price
The Suggested price block on the item details shows the median price and the range of sales with a similar title. The Use button fills in the target price.
- It needs at least 3 comparable sales; otherwise the app says “not enough sales”.
- Two different well-known brands, or two different references (Lego set number, console model…), are never compared.
- Bundles (“Bundle of 2 items”) are ignored.
Anonymous sharing of sales
The suggested price is based on your sales and on those of other OnceAndSold accounts. Other accounts never see your titles or the price of a specific sale: only a median price and a range.
Only the title, brand, sale price and platform of each sale are used in the calculation, and a result is only shown from 3 sales. A sale deleted from your account also disappears from the calculation.
These sales also feed the resale price barometer (in French), a public page giving, for each brand, a median price, a range, a selling time and each site’s share. A brand only appears with at least 20 sales from at least 5 accounts, with no single account making up more than half: no title, no username, no price of a specific sale.
Selling tips
In Statistics, the Selling tips card compares each of your listings with listings with a similar title from other accounts, on the same site: views per day, favourites and messages per 100 views, time to sell. It shows the step where the listing falls behind and ideas measured on comparable listings (photos, title, fields filled in, description, price).
- A comparison needs at least 10 comparable listings from 5 other accounts; a title word is only suggested if it comes from at least 5 accounts.
- Other accounts only see medians: never your titles, your prices or the figures for a specific listing.
- Besides the title, brand and price, the calculation uses the listing’s views, favourites and number of conversations, the number of photos, the length of the description, the fields filled in and your median reply time. Neither the photos nor the text of descriptions or messages leave your account.
- When you edit a listing (photos, title, description, price), the app compares its views per day for the 7 days before and after, and tells you whether it worked.
A summary goes out every week (Settings › Notifications) to your webhook and as a notification, only when there’s something new.
