Update the extension
Automatic update
Installed from the Chrome Web Store, the extension updates itself: you have nothing to do. Most new OnceAndSold features don’t need any extension update anyway.
Why isn’t it instant?
Several steps separate the release of a version from its arrival in your Chrome:
- A new version is first reviewed by Google before being published on the Chrome Web Store (from a few hours to a day).
- Since version 1.18.0, the extension asks Chrome to look for an update every hour, instead of about every 5 hours.
- Chrome installs the new version in the background, then switches to it when the extension isn’t in use or the next time Chrome restarts.
Once Google has published it, a version usually arrives within the hour. If the app asks you to update, don’t wait: force the update.
Force the update
- Open
chrome://extensionsin the address bar. - Turn on Developer mode (top right).
- Click Update (top left) and wait a few seconds.
- Check the version number shown next to the OnceAndSold name, then turn developer mode off again if you like.
- Reload the OnceAndSold tab.
Find your version
In chrome://extensions, the version is shown next to the OnceAndSold name. The latest available version is shown on the Chrome Web Store page, under Additional information.
The version still doesn’t change
- The Chrome Web Store page shows the same version as yours: the new version isn’t available from Google yet. Try again a little later.
- The extension is turned off after the update: the new version asks for an extra permission. Click Chrome’s ⋮ menu or the extension’s card to accept it.
- Still nothing: click Remove in
chrome://extensions, then reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store page. You lose nothing: your inventory and settings are in your OnceAndSold account, and your Vinted, Leboncoin, eBay, Beebs and Vestiaire Collective sessions stay in Chrome.
